TAWAU: Two people were killed and three others injured in a three-vehicle collision involving a five-tonne lorry, a Toyota Hilux and a motorcycle at Batu 16, Jalan Apas, Balung here, on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist and pillion rider were pronounced dead at the scene, while two men in the lorry and the 61-year-old Hilux driver sustained light injuries.

The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance, the bodies were handed to the police for further action, and the operation ended at 6.30pm after the area was deemed safe.
