KOTA KINABALU: A male motorcyclist was killed after his Yamaha Y15 skidded off the road and crashed into a tree at the Kopungit roundabout on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at about 5.41 pm, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by health workers.
The Fire and Rescue Department said the motorcycle was believed to have lost control, with no other vehicles involved.
The victim was thrown into a drain following the impact.
The body was handed over to police for further investigation.
The incident was the second fatal motorcycle accident reported on the same day.
