PAITAN: The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation will expand internet facilities for Sabah schools next year, focusing on those still without access, particularly in rural areas.
State Minister Datuk James Ratib said about 300 schools across the state had already been equipped with Starlink satellite devices this year to improve connectivity.
“We do not want any pupils or students to continue facing difficulties in accessing the internet,” he said at a district-level Christmas celebration in Paitan on Saturday.
James, who is Sugut Assemblyman, added that Starlink connectivity is also needed for village communities under the e-Desa initiative, especially in areas without internet access.
