PETALING JAYA: A stolen car with a five-year-old girl still inside was recovered after a three-hour police operation here on Wednesday, with the child found safe and unharmed,
New Straits Times reported.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat said the incident occurred at about 7.24am along Jalan PJS 6/4, Kampung Lindungan, after a couple briefly left their parked car by the roadside to buy breakfast, leaving their daughter inside.

He said the parents realised the vehicle was missing moments later and immediately lodged a police report, prompting officers to act without delay.
Police launched an operation codenamed Op Tutup and, with assistance from members of the public, traced the car to the Mentari Court apartment complex, where the child was reunited with her parents, although the suspect had fled.
Shamsudin said investigations were ongoing under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping and reminded the public not to leave children unattended in vehicles, even for a short time.
