LABUAN: Labuan - Flexi Flex Group of Companies (FFG) is investing RM15 million to expand its base operations here signalling a brighter outlook for Labuan’s O&G industry next year following its contraction in the last few years due to policy changes resulting in companies down-sizing or relocating to Bintulu or Sarawak.
FFG’s Executive Officer (EO) Vijay Sharma said the investment is primarily to modernise the base with new equipment and improved infrastructure to enhance capacity to support expected future growth.

Commenting on the industry’s future prospects in Labuan, Vijay was optimistic and supported it by saying “ Labuan strategic location of close proximity to major operations in Sabah and Sarawak offered advantage.
“Adding to this was its free-port which makes it easier to do business and the financial hub status facilitating international projects”
FFG operates as a specialised industrial engineering support and solutions provider with a strong presence here, Sabah and Sarawak. It was established here in 2014 and has 200 employees all from here and the neighbouring states and the number may increase depending on prospects.
Its major clients include Halliburton, Dayang Enterprise Bhd,Baker Huges, Perdana Petroleum Bhd,to name a few. FFG comprise of six entities with operations in Canada and India.
Recently it was a proud moment for FFG when it won the prestigious SME 100 award which is presented to enterprises in recognition of forward thinking leadership, technical strength and teamwork with best practices and good financial performance.
Vijay described the award as an important new milestone achievement for the Group.
