KOTA KINABALU: Kunak Assemblyman Datuk Seri Anil Jeet Singh has been appointed Assistant Minister of Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy.

He took his oath of office before Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman at the Istana Negeri on Monday.

Anil becomes the second Barisan Nasional representative to join the Sabah state cabinet, following the earlier appointment of Datuk Jafry Ariffin as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment.

Prior to this appointment, Anil served as President of the Sabah Hockey Association and Vice-President of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation.
