Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Action Body Advocating Rights (Sabar) welcomed the recent announcements by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor on the restructuring and enhanced oversight of Government-Linked Companies (GLCs).
Its Chairman Datuk Zainie Abd Aucasa said these developments indicate that the State Government is taking seriously the aspirations expressed through the Sabah Voices to Action initiative and the Sabahans’ Aspirations and Demands report.
Zainie noted in particular the Chief Minister’s directive for all GLCs to implement quarterly performance reporting from January 2026 and the commitment to restructuring underperforming entities.
“These initiatives respond directly to Sabahans’ calls for greater transparency, professionalism and accountability in state-linked companies, concerns consistently raised during Sabar’s state-wide town halls consultation sessions.
