Use celebration as catalyst for progress: Hajiji
Hajiji stressed that the long-standing values of mutual respect, tolerance and togetherness must continue to be preserved, as they form the foundation of stability and development in the State.
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor called on Sabahans to use the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration as a catalyst to renew their determination, strengthen unity and intensify efforts towards building a more developed state.

He said the collective commitment and togetherness of the people are crucial to ensuring continued progress, in line with the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) agenda.

“Aidilfitri symbolises victory over one’s desires and the triumph of patience and sincerity. It is also the best platform to strengthen ties among families, neighbours and the wider community.

“In this blessed land of Sabah, Aidilfitri is celebrated in a spirit of goodwill among people of various races and religions. This unity in diversity is our true strength,” he said in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 message, Thursday.

To sustain this momentum, he said the Government has outlined a more strategic and comprehensive direction through the SMJ 2.0 Development Plan.

“SMJ 2.0 is not merely a plan on paper, but a firm commitment to transform Sabah’s economy, empower human capital and ensure the well-being of the people remains a priority,” he added.
