Tenom: DAP veteran Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang urged Sabah voters to choose representatives capable of making Malaysia a great nation.
He said Sabah lawmakers should serve as a bridge between the State and Federal governments to ensure stronger and sustainable development.
Lim made the remarks during campaign stops at Rumah Kebudayaan Katubu and Kg Masanoi in Kemabong.
Communications Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching said the election demonstrates the party’s commitment to empowering women as decision-makers.
Teo, who is also DAP National Women Chief, added that over five years of Pakatan Harapan (PH) rule, communication networks in rural areas such as Kg Katubu have been strengthened.
DAP National International Secretary Kasthuri Patto highlighted that the party is firmly rooted in Sabah and dismissed the perception of DAP as a “Malayan party.”
She noted that all candidates are Sabah-born and that the party’s mission is to serve all Malaysians.
PH Kemabong candidate Noorita Sual thanked DAP central leadership for supporting her campaign.
She said the aim is to bring change and new leadership to Kemabong, saying, “Kemabong Maju, Rakyat Sejahtera.”
