KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has vowed that all corruption investigations will be carried out transparently and professionally, stressing that no individual is above the law.
Speaking at the Harapan Urang Sabah Grand Finale in Likas on Thursday, he said he fully supports the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s independent role in probing any allegations of wrongdoing.
Anwar said those found guilty of stealing public funds must face consequences regardless of their rank or past office, adding that RM15.5 billion had been saved under his administration in two years.
He also emphasised the need for political stability in Sabah, saying a strong State Government working closely with the Federal Government is key to delivering long-awaited improvements.
Anwar ended by urging unity and rejecting divisive politics, sharing that he was moved by a Sulaman resident who told him she had waited since 1984 for meaningful change.
