KUCHING: Twig Events deeply regrets to announce that the Air Supply 50th Anniversary Concert, scheduled for 24 September 2025 at SBC Hall, has been cancelled.
This unexpected turn of events has left us, just like the fans, shocked and deeply disappointed. As the local organiser, Twig Events had been working relentlessly up until the evening of 23 September, finalising stage setup, venue arrangements, and all operational details.
Everything was in place, and our team remained fully committed to ensuring a successful show. Twig Events wishes to clarify that we never had direct communications with Air Supply.
Our contract and dealings have only been with Galaxy World Entertainment Sdn Bhd, concert tour agent under our agreement. We were not informed in advance of any issues, and only became aware of the cancellation when Air Supply announced it on Facebook.
To have the concert halted at the last moment by circumstances beyond our control is a blow not only to the fans but also to us as organisers, especially after months of preparation.
The concert was expected to draw an audience of around 4,000 people, with ticket sales showing strong demand — a clear reflection of the excitement and anticipation surrounding this 50th anniversary celebration.
In response, Twig Events has lodged a complaint with the Arts, Live Festivals and Events Association (ALIFE) and sought the intervention of its chairman, Dato’ Alan Foo.
We have also called for clearer industry procedures to prevent similar situations from happening again. To all ticket holders, we extend our sincere apologies and confirm that full refunds will be issued.
Refunds will be processed through the same platforms used for purchase, with instructions sent via email.
The process has already begun and is expected to be completed within 14 working days, subject to the respective payment providers. We will continue to provide updates should there be any new developments, including the possibility of rescheduling or future collaborations.
Our priority is to protect the trust of fans and uphold the integrity of live music events in Sarawak. Twig Events wishes to thank fans, partners, and media representatives for their understanding and patience during this difficult time.
Despite this setback, we remain committed to bringing worldclass live entertainment to Sarawak in the future.
