Kota Kinabalu: Barisan Nasional (BN) Penampang welcomes if the coalition’s top leadership decides to field a candidate in Penampang for the coming 15th General Election (GE15).BN Penampang Chairman Datuk Mohd Hasnol Ayub said they hoped to be given the chance to stand as a candidate under the BN ticket.
“We still do not know who is the candidate for Penampang but we hope it would come from BN component parties. However, the candidate would not be from Umno.
“Nonetheless, we will support the candidate from parties that are working together with BN,” said Hasnol.
