BONGAWAN: Warisan’s Bongawan Assemblyman Dr Daud Yusuf said the government need to deal more forcefully with China’s encroachment into Malaysian waters of Sabah.

He said the situation should not be handled lightly because it infringed on the country’s sovereignty.

“The threat is getting more worrisome. If the geopolitical issue is not solved promptly, Sabah and Sarawak would be at the forefront,” he said adding there should not be any aggressive eventually as happened in Ukraine recently.

Citing reports, he said, since 2021, China’s ‘invisible’ fighter aircraft, J-20, has been hovering above the East China Sea and South China Sea to on routine patrols and exercises.
