Kota Kinabalu: A local company has developed a successful method of breeding Black Soldier Flies (BSF) for sustainable waste management – a world’s first – in Papar. Previous method of breeding this fly for the purpose of digesting waste was done manually.

Global Cerah Sdn Bhd hopes its BSF Automation Breeding System would be able to address the massive amounts of harmful agricultural waste, use of inorganic fertilisers and feed meal inefficient waste management.
