“Sabah Armada’s stand is to disagree with the decision made by the Armada central because it was not decided at an Armada Central Exco Special Meeting.
“Instead, the special meeting as stated in the press statement by Bersatu Armada Malaysia is actually a meeting for coordinating the distribution of Armada assistance in conjunction with Ramadhan 2020 and a meet with Bersatu Chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad,” he said in a statement.

The forum, set for Feb 4-5, 2026, aims to strengthen Sabah's position as a competitive Asia Pacific hub for Business Events and cross-border collaboration.
He was commenting on the statement by Bersatu Armada Malaysia which stated the wing’s stand was to reject Umno and return to working with PH, besides fully supporting the stand of Bersatu Chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to not collaborate with Umno and return the people’s mandate as had been given during the 14th General Election. The decision was made based on the voting process made during the meeting and agreed by more than 2/3 of those who participated and the rest did not make a decision. Isquzawan said Sabah Armada fully support the leadership of Bersatu President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also the Prime Minister.

“Sabah Armada’s stand is clear that we always stand behind the party’s President and that during the current political development we will not make enemy with any parties that supports PN,” he said. Its information chief Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin said the Bersatu Supreme Council, as the highest executive body in the party, had decided in its meeting on Feb 23 to leave PH and cease any form of cooperation with the coalition.

“Any attempt to initiate cooperation between Bersatu and PH goes against the party’s official decision. It is the responsibility of every party member to abide by this decision and to implement the party’s policies,” he said.

He was responding to the statements by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu which appeared to give the impression that Bersatu was keen to rejoin PH.

Mohd Radzi, who is also Education Minister, also stressed that Bersatu Deputy President Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir’s call for party members to consider working with PH again was his personal view and not the official stand of the party.

“I would like to remind all party members who join other coalitions that their actions are against the party’s stand and that in accordance with Article 10.2.3 of the party constitution, they stand to lose their party membership with immediate effect.

“As such, every party member must abide by the party’s official stand that was made collectively via methods and channels in line with the party’s constitution,” he said.

At the same time, he said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had no right to be a signatory in the joint statement dated May 4 issued by PH, Bersatu and Parti Warisan Sabah, adding that it was an act that defied the party’s stand.
