Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Government Employees Cooperative Society Berhad (Kopeks) is strengthening its business expansion through a collaboration with cooperatives in Brunei Darussalam, including exploring import and export opportunities.
Kopeks chairman Datuk Saat Ag Damit said the cooperation with the Dewan Perniagaan dan Perusahaan Melayu Brunei Berhad would help open up cross-border trade opportunities and expand markets for local products.

He said the move was part of Kopeks' transformation strategy to diversify its businesses, which now include healthcare services, Ar-Rahnu operations, housing projects and community media through the launch of
Kinabalu Media.
Saat said Kinabalu Media, published under Kopeks’ subsidiary One Kinabalu, would serve as a community newspaper providing reliable information while contributing to the media industry in Sabah.
He said Kopeks, which has been operating for 63 years since Aug 11, 1963, would continue exploring new business opportunities to strengthen its position and benefit members and the community.
