TYT’s advice to Muslims

Kota Kinabalu: Muslims in this state are urged to undertake a major transformation of their minds by moving from a culture of blame to a culture of contributing to the progress of the ummah.

Sabah Governor Tun Musa Aman said the change in the landscape of thinking was very important in facing the challenges of today’s increasingly complex world, in addition to eradicating selfishness while nourishing by the spirit of togetherness in the community.

He stressed that the entire community is also required to undertake a drastic cultural transition, namely moving from weakness in knowledge to sustainable excellence in knowledge.

Islam today is required to migrate from weakness to strength, from division to brotherhood, and from negligence to piety towards Allah SWT,” he said.

Touching on the role of the young, Tun Musa wanted the new generation of Muslims in Sabah to always strengthen their character, improve their skills, and wisely utilise digital technology facilities for beneficial purposes such as learning and entrepreneurship.

“This new generation needs to stay away from all forms of social ills that can damage the future and affect their own potential,” he said.

Through the application of the values ​​of faith and the formation of human capital with integrity and responsibility, he is optimistic that Sabah will be able to continue to chart blessed progress.

He also prayed that the new year 1448 Hijrah would be welcomed with firm determination so that every step taken would bring benefits to the family and society, thus making Sabah a peaceful, harmonious, and prosperous state.
