Kota Kinabalu: A nursery worker was charged in the Sessions Court here with abusing and causing injury to a four-year-old girl four months ago.
Siti Nazwa Ahadin, 25, pleaded not guilty before Judge Hurman Hussain.

She is accused of committing the offence at a child care centre in Telipok on Jan 16 this year.
The charge under Section 31(1)(a) of the Children Act 2001 carries a fine of up to RM20,000, or a jail term of up to 10 years, or both upon conviction.
The court set June 8 for pre-trial case management and allowed Siti Nazwa bail of RM5,000 with two local sureties pending disposal of the case.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Shafeerah Mad Iskim appeared for the prosecution, while Siti Nazwa was represented by counsel Lim Ming Zoong @ Lawrence.
In a separate case, two Indonesian nationals were jailed for illegal entry and overstaying in the state.
The first was sentenced to four months’ jail for illegal entry, while the second received six months for overstaying after her passport expired.
The court ordered both to serve their sentences from the date of arrest.
After completing their jail terms, they will be referred to the Immigration Department for further action.
