Filipino charged over home break-in attempt
The offence under Section 457 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to five years, and a fine, and if the offence committed with intention to commit theft, the jail term may extend to 14 years, upon conviction.
Kota Kinabalu: A 32-year-old Filipino was charged with trespassing into a woman’s house with an intention to commit theft.

Abd Rahman Hakim pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, to the charge against him.

Abd Rahman is accused of breaking into the house with intention to steal, at Jalan Pulutan here between 9.30am and 5pm on Sept 26, 2025.
