Irmohizam’s participation reflects WTCKL’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s presence within the global Business Events ecosystem and enhancing its international competitiveness.
His involvement supports broader national efforts to position Malaysia as a preferred destination for international conferences, exhibitions and business gatherings.
“The initiative aligns with the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, which has been extended to 2027 to sustain momentum and attract more international visitors.” said Irmohizam.
The extension, announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, allows Malaysia to intensify its promotional efforts amid evolving global travel patterns.
Commenting on the forum, Irmohizam said global networking platforms such as the WTCA Global Business Forum enable Malaysia to showcase its strengths as a safe, stable and well-connected destination for both Business Events and tourism.
He emphasized that building strong rapport with international delegates is key to attracting more global events to Malaysia, contributing to increased visitor arrivals and economic growth.
As a Board Member of WTCA, he continues to play an active role in strengthening global partnerships that can bring high-impact conferences and exhibitions to Malaysia.
