Kota Kinabalu: A police officer told the Coroner’s Court on Friday that WhatsApp chats and voice notes were successfully extracted from a mobile phone tagged WF11, one of 15 devices analysed by the Computer Crimes Investigation Unit.
Computer Crimes Investigation Unit analyst ASP Mohd Zaidi Abu Hassan said WF11 comprised a mobile phone and a SIM card submitted as an exhibit.
He told the court that printed documents referred to by Deputy Public Prosecutor Sofia S Sawayan were taken from his analysis report on the WF11 device.
The 70th witness, testifying before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan, said several pages of the report contained WhatsApp chats and two voice notes involving two teachers, as well as chat descriptions and text messages sent by the phone’s owner.
He also said all analysed devices and SIM cards were identified and later returned to the investigating officer in their original condition, while proceedings were briefly stood down to allow access to documents stored on pendrives.
