MIRI: Sarawak-owned AirBorneo is set to operate three jet aircraft by July, connecting Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Kota Kinabalu and Jakarta.
Borneo Post quoted Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg as saying the airline will boost medical tourism. noting strong demand from Indonesian patients and improved access with a 1 hour 20 minute Kuching–Jakarta flight.
He added runway upgrades in Limbang and new healthcare and housing developments will support broader economic growth.
