PUTATAN: The district has become the first location for the State Local Government and Housing Ministry’s (KKTP) Tour Programme to survey current issues and the needs of the people at the local authority level.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif said among the issues raised were the need to provide the People’s Housing Programme (PPR), squatters and cleanliness.

“We will find solutions together to address priority matters.
“I received a very good briefing from the Putatan District Council,” he told the media during the programme at the Putatan District Council, Monday.
Dr Mohd Arifin said the tour is aimed to get an actual picture on the ground and to hear the District Council’s plans in an effort to improve the quality of service delivery to the people.
According to him, some issues in the Putatan district, such as cleanliness, have been acted upon by the District Council, but improvement efforts will continue from time to time.
