NEW YORK: Disgraced former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein said he is “happy” actor Adrien Brody has taken on a fatherly role for his children with former wife Georgina Chapman.
Weinstein, 73, made the remarks in an interview with
The Hollywood Reporter while incarcerated at New York’s Rikers Island.
He is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence after being convicted on sex crime charges in California in 2022.
Chapman, 49, separated from Weinstein in 2017 after 10 years of marriage following allegations of sexual harassment and sexual abuse reported by the
New York Times, and their divorce was finalised in 2021.
The former couple share two children — daughter India Pearl, 15, and son Dashiell Max Robert, 12 — and Chapman, who began dating Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody, 52, in 2019, said he was glad the children have “someone in their lives”.
