Public urged not to exploit racial, religious sentiments - Muhd Kamil
IPOH: The public has been reminded to always respect the rule of law and not manipulate racial and religious sentiments that could spark divisions within society.

The Finance Minister's political secretary, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim (pic), said Malaysia is a country governed by the rule of law based on the Constitution, and any sensitive issues should be left entirely to the authorities for further action through the proper legal channels.

“Law enforcement is not something that can be carried out arbitrarily by any party. It must go through the proper legal processes and channels,” he told reporters after officiating at the Madani frontliners appreciation ceremony and the Singgah Sahur with the Perak police contingent headquarters here Wednesday.

Muhd Kamil advised the public to be more cautious on social media to avoid fake news and slander, and not to be influenced by parties that exploit sensitive issues for attention, even though such groups represent only a minority.
