SHAH ALAM: A man in Selangor won more than RM15.3 million in the Magnum 4D jackpot after deciding to place a bet on a whim,

The man, who had been playing the lottery for about 20 years, reportedly had no plans to buy a ticket on that particular day.

However, while stopping by Desa Aman Puri to buy a drink, he noticed an empty parking spot directly in front of a Magnum 4D outlet.
Seeing the convenient parking space prompted him to try his luck, purchasing an RM6 System Play ticket and selecting the numbers 9637 and 5722.
Two days before Chinese New Year on Feb 15, his family informed him that the numbers had won the second and third prizes, giving him a combined total of RM15,365,814 which he plans to use for a relaxed retirement and to ease his housing and car commitments.
