KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, who is also Works and Utilities Minister, said he supports continued efforts to explore practical and constructive cooperation in public infrastructure and utilities after receiving an official briefing on the outcome of a recent working visit by the Sabah Plumbers Association to Beijing, China.
Its president, Carmen Wong, said the visit aimed to deepen understanding and explore potential cooperation in the water sector between Sabah and relevant parties in China.

She said the programme included professional engagements with the Beijing Municipal Water Authority and Beijing Waterworks Group, focusing on water governance, supply systems, wastewater treatment and utility management approaches practised in China.
Wong said the engagements also provided an overview of best practices, technology adoption and management models that could serve as references.
She added that the visit also delivered an official invitation to Chinese water authorities and enterprises to participate in the Water Forum and Exhibition scheduled for April 25 and 26 in Sabah, alongside initial discussions on proposed forum topics, technology showcases and international exhibition participation.
