KOTA KINABALU: A geography teacher at SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha testified that Zara Qairina Mahathir had no disciplinary record related to theft.

Mohd Sham M Nasir, 27, told the Coroner’s Court on Friday that during his time teaching Zara’s class, he had never heard of her being disciplined for theft and that incidents of missing money were rare. 

He also noted that aside from a spot check on July 14, 2025, he had not conducted any other checks for missing money in the class.
