Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister II and Sabah Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, received a courtesy call from the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Secretariat on Thursday to discuss the SMJ 2.0 Roadmap (2026–2030).
The delegation was led by SMJ Chief Coordinating Officer Datuk (Datu) Rosmadi Datu Sulai and Chief Operating Officer Datuk Ramlee Kariah. The meeting focused on strategic planning and aligning state development initiatives with the aspirations of the people.

During the session, Masidi was briefed on the progress of the SMJ 2.0 programme, which is scheduled for launch today (Jan 30) at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
Discussions also covered ways to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness across agencies.
Masidi emphasised the importance of good governance and inter-agency coordination, urging the secretariat to ensure each initiative under SMJ 2.0 addresses the needs of Sabahans while delivering measurable, sustained impact.
He also called on government-linked companies (GLCs) to take a proactive role with integrity, focusing on management efficiency, transparency, and contributions to state development that improve the well-being of the people.
Masidi stressed the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure programmes are implemented as planned and achieve the targets set under the roadmap.
In a separate courtesy call, Masidi met with Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd, led by Chairperson Saadiah Aziz and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Yaakob Jaafar, to discuss electricity supply in the state.
The discussions centred on strengthening cooperation and ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reliability of power delivery, ensuring Sabahans enjoy a stable and continuous electricity supply.
Masidi expressed satisfaction with Sabah Electricity’s initiatives and reiterated the importance of collaboration to maintain a dependable electricity system across Sabah.
