The suspects, a man and a woman in their 30s, were detained in two separate raids.
“Preliminary investigations found that the suspects were involved in a major house break-in and vehicle theft in Taman Ujana Kingfisher, and are believed to be linked to three other house break-ins in Luyang and Manggatal,” he said.
He added that police seized various items believed stolen, including vehicles, modified burglary tools, mobile phones of various brands, smartwatches, tablets, digital cameras, handbags and other personal belongings.
Checks also revealed that one suspect has an extensive criminal record involving house break-ins, theft and drug-related offences, while the other has prior records related to similar crimes.
“Initial urine screening showed that one suspect tested positive for drugs, while the other tested negative,” he said.
