KOTA KINABALU: A media delegation from Zhejiang, China, visited Sabah from December 14 to 20 as part of a trip also including South Korea.

The visit, organized by the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, aimed to strengthen media exchanges and explore educational and cultural cooperation.
In Sabah, the delegation toured Daily Express Malaysia, Sin Chew Daily, Kian Kok Middle School, the Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah, and the Sabah Journalists Association.
They also met Zhu Xinglong, China’s Consul General in Kota Kinabalu, and explored the city’s natural and cultural sites.
Chairman of Kian Kok Middle School, Datuk Clement Yeh, emphasized expanding ties with Zhejiang in AI technology and traditional Chinese culture, including ethnic dance. He proposed forming sister-school partnerships to allow students to study in China.
The visit follows similar exchanges in South Korea, where the delegation met Gwangju Mayor Kang Gi Jung and media leaders to discuss deepening bilateral understanding through media collaboration.
