Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno pledged to continue contributing actively and with principle in the State Unity Government, while ensuring the people’s voice remains the foundation of every decision and political direction taken.
This commitment was expressed when the newly appointed Sabah Umno leadership paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, recently.

The visit was led by Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin who is also the new Sabah Umno Chairman.
He was accompanied by Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Mohd Hasnol Ayub who serves as Sabah Umno Liaison Deputy Chairman, Sabah Umno State Secretary Samasuddin Yusop and Sabah Umno State Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
The meeting was in line with Umno’s position as part of the Sabah Unity Government.
Discussions focused on Sabah’s political direction, the importance of maintaining political stability and ensuring state administration continues to function effectively for the benefit of the people.
Jafry said Sabah Umno views political stability as fundamental to state development, investor confidence and public welfare.
He said a mature, disciplined and cooperative political approach must be prioritised in Sabah’s current political landscape.
“In a multi-party political system like Sabah, stability can only be achieved through mutual respect, open communication and willingness to cooperate for the state’s interests.
“Sabah Umno is committed to playing a responsible and constructive role in the Unity Government,” he said.
He pointed out that political differences must be managed wisely and through proper institutional channels, without compromising the main priorities of good governance, sustainable development and the welfare of Sabahans.
