KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Government has reaffirmed its claim to the State’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement under MA63 and the Federal Constitution, while awaiting a finalised payment mechanism from the Federal Government.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the matter has been repeatedly raised at MA63 meetings and will be discussed again at a Federal-State meeting on Dec 19, stressing that negotiations must be based on court decisions.
He also reiterated the State Government’s zero-tolerance policy on corruption and abuse of power, outlining measures to strengthen integrity and governance in State GLCs, including quarterly performance reporting, MACC oversight, and integrity units within all GLCs.
Hajiji said allegations involving a State GLC remain under investigation and cautioned against speculation that could undermine due process.
