KOTA KINABALU: The Yayasan Sabah Group has increased its education allocation this year to strengthen access to higher education for Sabahans, its Corporate Secretary Hanafiah Diman said.
Speaking at the 28th Yayasan Sabah College of Technology convocation, he said the funding covers scholarships, grants and education loans to ensure financial constraints do not hinder students from studying locally or abroad.

The ceremony saw 310 graduands receive their scrolls, alongside two Excellence Awards and one Gold Medal Award.
Hanafiah reaffirmed Yayasan Sabah’s alignment with the Sabah Maju Jaya framework, describing graduates as long-term human capital for the State.
KTYS chief executive officer Datuk Tah Nia Jaman said the institution will continue to strengthen academic and skills-based programmes to meet industry needs and support Sabah’s development.
