The programme sought to guide Muslim women back to the core foundations of Islam – the Quran and Sunnah- while addressing modern day-challenges faced by women in family life, mental well-being and daily responsibilities.
The seminar opened with a session titled “Batu-bata Rumahtangga” (Building the Foundations of a Household) delivered by Hajah Noordianah Alwi, who stressed the importance of emotional control between spouses and healthy communication to prevent prolonged conflict.
She also highlighted the Islamic approach to raising children, focusing on nurturing faith, good character and obedience to God through parental example.
A key highlight was the mental health session led by psychiatrist Dr Rozanizam Zakaria, who unpacked scientific facts on women’s emotions and offered practical strategies for emotional regulation grounded in Islamic values.
Participants later attended a financial literacy session conducted by Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) officer Wellmexsion Marayal, who taught practical Islamic financial management methods relating to budgeting, debt and daily spending.
The programme concluded with ‘Wanita dan Pengurusan Hidup’ (Women and Life Management) by Siti Rahmah Rolla, who discussed the complex roles women shoulder and how Islamic guidelines can support effective life management.
Additional activities included a lucky draw, a book sale by Dr Rozanizam and complimentary Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) checks by AKPK.
Organisers thanked Daily Express for its support and expressed hope for continued collaboration in future programmes aimed at empowering women and sharing beneficial knowledge with the wider community.
