KOTA KINABALU: Zulhelmi Rizal of Sandakan and Christine Joan Charles of Papar were crowned Mr and Miss Native Borneo 2025 during the pageant finale here on Nov 29.

Zulhelmi, 24, is a music instructor, while Christine, 29, works as a teacher.

Both winners received RM4,000 in cash along with a crown or headgear, a trophy, a sash, and sponsored goods and services, awarded after a field of 33 contestants from Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei competed for the titles.

The top five for Mr Native Borneo included Des Marcus, Eldrie Stephan, Wellingson Kuling and Sunny Pui, while the Miss Native Borneo runners-up comprised Welfrin Afrina, Gillian Octavia, Emilia Mujan and Dymphna Hendra Damin.
