The award presentation, organised by the Langkawi Development Authority (Lada) in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), was held at the Langkawi International Convention Centre on Saturday.

STB’s win for Best Corporate CSR Project highlights its Lampoopalooza initiative this year, where the team collaborated with the Sabah Society for the Deaf to strengthen awareness and communication between tourism frontliners and the Deaf community.

“These awards are meaningful for STB and for Sabah because they reflect the effort we’ve put into making tourism more responsible, accessible, and genuinely people-focused,” said Julinus.

He said STB will continue strengthening initiatives that support sustainability and inclusivity, ensuring that the board’s marketing and outreach efforts speak to travellers while also aligning with real on-the-ground needs.
