Malaysia–China Chamber of Commerce appoints Honorary Advisors
Lau said the Chamber would continue to uphold the spirit of “Business as a bridge, integrity as our foundation,”* by fostering unity among members and consolidating collective strength to contribute to Sabah’s economic growth.
Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysia–China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Sabah Branch has reappointed Dato’ Soh Poh Soon as Honorary Advisor and appointed Chin Men Fui, the former Internal Auditor cum Vice President, to the same position for the 6th Council term (2025–2028).

MCCC Sabah President Datuk Dexter Lau described the Honorary Advisors as “vital pillars” of the Chamber, whose wisdom and experience enable the leadership to maintain a balance between stability and innovation.

“The Chamber’s strength comes not only from the vitality of the younger generation but also from the wisdom and dedication of our predecessors. We are deeply honoured to continue receiving the guidance and support of both advisors as we strive to elevate trade and economic cooperation between Sabah and China to new heights,” he said in a statement Thursday.

We sincerely thank them for their continued dedication and believe that over the next three years, their experience and wisdom will further strengthen and guide the Chamber’s progress.”

She also expressed confidence that the new council would continue to bring together capable and visionary leaders, fostering unity and collaboration across sectors to ensure the Chamber’s sustainable growth while reinforcing Malaysia–China trade cooperation and Sabah’s local economic development.
