PETALING JAYA: PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has urged Kelantan folk to vote for Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates in the general election (GE15) to bring about “changes” in the country.
At a ceramah in Tumpat last night, the deputy Perikatan Nasional chairman said PAS and Bersatu were working hard in Kelantan, where all PN candidates would contest under the PAS logo.
“We must switch to a PN government and make some changes. Let Barisan Nasional rest and give us a chance instead,” he said at a ceramah in Tumpat last night.
“Choose PAS. Pakatan Harapan (PH) is unreliable whereas BN is not clean, so vote for our candidates – who come from a variety of different backgrounds,” Utusan Malaysia reported him as saying.
BN ruled the country for more than six decades before being ousted by PH in GE14. The recent government headed by Ismail Sabri Yaakob was led by BN with PN’s support.
Hadi, who is contesting the Marang seat, also called on Malaysians to come out in droves to vote on Nov 19, adding that it was their responsibility to elect the “correct” government.
The six-term Marang MP will be up against BN’s Jasmira Othman, PH’s Azhar Shukur and Pejuang’s Zarawi Sulong.
