RANAU: Efforts to empower young people through leadership and community engagement received a boost following an informal meeting between Ranau Member of Parliament Datuk Jonathan Yasin and members of the Shan Tian Club.
The MP met the club committee in a session aimed at strengthening dialogue on youth development programmes and community activities.

During the meeting, Jonathan expressed his support for the club’s ongoing initiatives, particularly those focused on nurturing leadership skills, encouraging volunteerism and promoting personal development and social responsibility among youths.
The informal engagement also provided a platform for both sides to exchange views on the club’s role in creating positive opportunities for young people in the district.
Representatives of Shan Tian Club said the MP’s encouragement serves as an important motivation for their continued efforts in youth empowerment.
They added that their programmes help participants build confidence, develop new skills, and foster stronger community ties.
