Kota Kinabalu: Veteran Sabah politician Datuk David Chong Ket Sui claimed the opposition’s presence on the ground had become less visible and was largely limited to “lip service” rather than actively addressing issues faced by the people.
He was referring to the Kota Kinabalu parliamentary constituency, which comprises the Api-Api, Luyang and Likas state constituencies represented by Parti Warisan Sabah’s Loi Kok Liang, Samuel Wong and Tham Yun Fook respectively.
The three were elected in the 17th Sabah Election in November 2025.
“After about six months, many people told me they regretted over voting for a party that is not aligned with the State Government of the day,” Chong said.
