PENAMPANG: A 29-year-old man suffered burn injuries in an LPG gas cylinder fire at a unit in Taman Penampang Apartments here on Monday.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 11.15am and deployed six personnel from the Penampang Fire and Rescue Station, who arrived at the scene seven minutes later.

Firefighters provided initial treatment to the victim before he was sent to hospital for further treatment, and the operation was concluded at 11.35am after the area was declared safe.
