RANAU: Sabah police have inaugurated a police station in Bundu Tuhan, Ranau, to strengthen community security.
Sabah Police Deputy Commissioner DCP Datuk Abdul Rani Alias officiated the ceremony, which was attended by Sabah Contingent Perkep Vice Chairman Datin Rusnah binti Zakaria, community leaders, elected representatives, heads of departments, retired police officers and the local community.
The community police station, or Bundu Tuhan PPK, is another proactive step by Sabah police in improving security aspects, strengthening strategic relationships between the police and the community and increasing the effectiveness of patrols and monitoring in local areas.
Abdul Rani, in his speech, expressed hope that the close relationship between the police and the community will continue to be strengthened to ensure peace, prosperity and harmony in the State are always maintained.
The ceremony also featured a montage screening, a poetry recitation and an official visit to the Bundu Tuhan community police station building.
