KDCA Ranau pays courtesy visit  to Joachim ahead of Kaamatan

Kota Kinabalu: The KDCA Ranau Coordinating Body paid a courtesy visit to KDCA Ranau Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam in conjunction with this year’s Kaamatan Festival celebration.

The visit, led by Secretary of the KDCA Ranau Coordinating Body Evelyn Masutin, is among the group’s annual activities held ahead of the Kaamatan Festival celebrations.

According to Evelyn, the visit was aimed at strengthening ties and expressing support for Dr Joachim’s leadership in enhancing and empowering Kaamatan celebrations in the State.

“Every year leading up to the Kaamatan Festival, we organise a courtesy visit to the Chairman of KDCA Ranau, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.

She also took the opportunity to congratulate Dr Joachim on his appointment as Sabah Deputy Chief Minister I and Minister of Works and Utilities.

Evelyn said KDCA Ranau believed that Dr Joachim’s experience and leadership would continue contributing to the success of the Kaamatan Festival celebration and the development of the community in Sabah.

Meanwhile, Dr Joachim expressed his appreciation for the visit and hoped that all preparations by KDCA Ranau at the Ranau traditional house for the Kaamatan celebration on May 30 and 31 would proceed smoothly.

He also hoped that the celebration would be lively and continue serving as a platform to strengthen unity and preserve the cultural heritage of the Kadazandusun Murut community in the State.

He added that the spirit of togetherness and cooperation among people of various races should continue to be nurtured in line with the spirit of Kaamatan, which symbolises the unity of the people of Sabah.
