LAHAD DATU: Police arrested six individuals
(pic) and seized drugs and controlled items in five raids under “Op Tapis”, here, on May 16 and 17.
District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said a man was arrested after 1,400gm of ketum powder and six litres of ketum juice worth RM420 were seized from a house in Anjung Teduh on May 16.
“About half an hour later, another man next door was detained after 800gm of ketum powder, 4.5 litres of ketum juice and eight bottles of cough syrup Dynadryl worth RM380 were seized,” he said.
According to Dzulbaharin, about 11am on May 17, a man was arrested at Kampung Puyut, Jalan Pantai, following the seizure of 0.32gm of Syabu.
The suspect also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
At about 12.15pm, a man and a woman were arrested at a house’s veranda in Kampung Perabot, Jalan Tengah Nipah after 5.53gm of syabu worth RM553 was seized.

The man tested positive for drug abuse while the woman tested negative.
