KOTA KINABALU: Any proposal involving the identity of Sabah natives must be approached with great care, said Datuk Lawrence Sinsua, Group President of Kadazan Global Communities Berhad (KGCB), in an impassioned call to the proponents of the term “Momogun”.
In an over-arching call to prioritise unity through historical identity, mutual respect and common purpose, Sinsua said:
“Kadazan Global Communities Berhad respectfully refers to the recent public discussions regarding proposals to replace the term “KDMR” with the term ‘Momogun’ as a collective identity for the indigenous peoples of Sabah.”
He said KGCB acknowledges and respects the sincere intentions of all parties seeking greater unity among Sabah natives.
