TAWAU: Youths, especially unemployed graduates, have been urged to create their own business opportunities instead of waiting for job offers by making use of training and assistance initiatives provided by the State Government.
Assistant Youth, Sports and Creative Economy Minister Datuk Seri Anil Sandhu (

He said Sabah still offered many business opportunities, with many graduates already venturing into entrepreneurship, and urged youths to consider doing the same.
Anil said this after officiating the opening of a new gold shop from the peninsula in Tawau on Sunday, adding that youths should also refer to relevant ministries, departments and agencies on available opportunities in the State.
He said various State Government initiatives, including grants under the Youth, Sports and Creative Economy Ministry, could be pursued, while concerns over the operations of gold shops should be left to the relevant parties to ensure such businesses comply with the law.
