Kota Kinabalu: THE Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has provided both online and physical registration facilities for the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) covering 23 categories of land goods transport vehicles in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
Its Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said applications to register for SKDS can be made, among others, via the MySubsidi portal at
https://mysubsidi.kpdn.gov.my, which opened on Monday.

“This facility is for registration only and does not yet involve the implementation of SKDS. Companies or entities that wish to register directly may do so at counters set up at KPDN state offices and branches in the three regions, as well as at KPDN mobile counters,” he said.
According to him, mobile counters will be available at KPDN outreach programmes, such as the Jualan Rahmah Madani Programme, mini carnivals or customer day sessions, particularly to facilitate registration of companies in rural areas that face internet access issues.
Armizan said the eligibility requirements for SKDS registration for land goods transport vehicles, include possessing a valid and active Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM), with the vehicle must be registered with the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) Sabah or Sarawak as a commercial vehicle.
“Businesses must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), local authorities or the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission,” he said, adding the vehicle must also be listed under one of the 23 approved categories of land goods transport vehicles under the SKDS.
Meanwhile, he said KPDN is also conducting engagement sessions with various stakeholders in Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan to ensure the smooth implementation of SKDS registration.
He said among those involved include major oil companies operating in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, as well as industry associations such as bus associations.
On April 29, Madani Government spokesman Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the Ministry of Finance is studying the implementation of a more targeted diesel subsidy mechanism similar to BudiI95 in Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
