RANAU: Deputy Chief Minister I and Sabah Works and Utilities Minister Joachim Gunsalam said the preservation of Kadazandusun Murut Rungus (KDMR) traditions is no longer about safeguarding identity, but also unlocking new economic opportunities through tourism.
“Cultural diversity is a unique strength must be preserved and celebrated,” he said, stressing that ancestral customs remain a defining identity for the community and must be passed down to future generations.
He said this at the third “Pesta Sutati” in Kampung Wayan, recently.
