Kota Kinabalu: The public has been invited to visit the Special Exhibition in conjunction with the Birthday of the Head of State (TYT) at the Islamic Civilisation Museum, which is open daily from 9am to 5pm.
The exhibition runs from now until December 31, 2026.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin said the programme aims to provide public exposure on the functions and role of the TYT institution.
He said the Special Exhibition of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, titled Dirgahayu Tuan Yang Terutama, is part of the annual programme by the Sabah Museum Department in conjunction with the 75th Official Birthday Celebration of the Head of State.
He said the programme is also included in the Sabah tourism calendar.
He said the exhibition showcases the social and community activities of the Head of State as a symbol of unity and wellbeing of the people, in addition to explaining the role of the TYT institution.
Jafry said the exhibition is expected to attract both local and international visitors to the museum.
He said it offers visitors the opportunity to better understand the role and contributions of the Head of State as Chief of Sabah.
He added that it also provides insight into the TYT’s leadership as a symbol of unity in the state while fostering patriotism and identity among the community.
The opening ceremony was graced by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman and his wife, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin.
